VOLUNTEER PROJECTS
Given the background of the Society's President in the Peace Corps, he knows
first hand that small amounts of resources put into the hands of such intensely
dedicated volunteers in the underdeveloped and developing world can have a huge
positive multiplier effect on our environment. A properly constructed water
well, a water filtering system in a village, a new community pump, fixing
rudimentary leaking pipes in a distribution system can each have a huge relative
impact on the water system and environment not to mention the positive impact on
childrens' quality of life and their futures.
The President of the Society has developed many direct contacts over a 33
year period of traveling and doing business in most of the World's
underdeveloped and developing countries.
Through the Society's President and his contacts, the Society will identify
Projects, hopefully involving current Peace Corps Volunteers if possible, where
the resources of the Society can assist in local water projects to help the
children and local community gain access to fresh, clean water. The Society's
strict screening criteria will be used to select prospects.
